As Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping our financial landscape. Reporting directly to the CFO and management team, you will oversee key financial functions, working with bookkeepers, accountancy partners, and tax and compliance partners across multiple regions.


Responsibilities

  • Manage AP & AR functions to ensure the timely processing of invoices and expenses, supporting our accountants with month-end activities.

  • Oversee weekly supplier payments, ensuring prompt processing of all invoices.

  • Lead financial control & reporting, including month-end reporting, payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.

  • Drive financial planning & analysis, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and building financial models to support various projects.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating payment terms, inventory control, and COGS-related functions.

  • Provide detailed analysis of supplier accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.

  • Continuously improve processing team controls for accuracy and efficiency.

  • Handle quarterly VAT returns.

  • Review UK and NL payroll monthly, including pension contributions.

  • Support the team with queries and ensure clear communication of responsibilities.

Job requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.

  • Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)

  • Intimate knowledge of and experience with UK accounting practices is necessary. US and other regions are a bonus.

  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.

  • Strong background in inventory-based businesses (e.g., retail, eCommerce).

  • Experience in both finished goods and manufacturing finance is a plus.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Enthusiastic, passionate, and results-driven.

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

  • Familiarity with Xero, Rippling, and other financial tools is advantageous.

  • Solid experience with AP & AR, including multiple currencies and legal entities.

  • Strong COGS-calculation expertise.

  • Proactive, with a knack for taking ownership of significant responsibilities.

  • Passionate about problem-solving with a logical and collaborative approach.
