What’s the role?
As a Product Designer at Carl Friedrik, you will be creating and developing elegant products made to the highest quality in the bags, luggage and accessories space. While working aligned with the overall creative vision, you will be given large creative freedom and responsibility in the role.
You will be responsible for conceptualising and executing new product designs with a strong emphasis on quality and durability. You will propose completely new products as well as improve existing products and components.

What is done on a daily basis?
Product design research to discover new opportunities.
Ideate and conceptualise product ideas.
Gather user feedback from existing customers to empower our development process.
Create instructions for sampling and managing the sampling process.
Manage material, component and product testing process.

You have relevant previous experience to demonstrate your skills. For example from a product-driven brand, a product design or an engineering consultancy.
You have completed a degree in Engineering, Product Design, Fashion Design.
You have a portfolio of past work.
Technical knowledge of how leather goods, bags, and suitcases are made.
Experience in working directly with manufacturers.
Excellent drawing and CAD skills.
Excellent design research skills.
Excellent Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
Detail orientated, organised & able to multi-task with good time management skills.
A lot of motivation, with the ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
Flexibility and willingness to react quickly to changing demands of the business.
